Candle Anatomy

Most trade levels placed are found by using the daily chart. These levels are often a low, open, close, or high of a previous candle. See the examples to understand where these levels are on red and green candles.

The formation of a candle is the same whether it is a one minute candle, three minute, one hour, one day, one week etc. The candle length is based on when the candle opens/starts and closes/ends. Each candle has an open, close, low, and high. The area between the open and close of a candle is the body of the candle. The “wick” part of a candle will top out at the high of day, or bottom out at the low of day. See below for examples. The bottom axis of examples clearly show that each candle is one day.
